Pcum Ben - ANCESTORS DAY FESTIVAL

Significance of the Occasion: In Cambodia it is a public holiday.

One of the most important festivities when Cambodian Buddhists  go to the pagodas to make offerings of food and other requisites to the monks in memory of their loved ones who passed away. They offer the blessings gained from their generosity to help release their loved ones from pain and suffering in the lower realms of existence. They wish them a happy rebirth.
